The Art of Dream Journaling

Dream journaling is the foundation of lucid dreaming. The more you remember your dreams, the more vivid they become—and the more likely you'll recognize dream signs.

How to Journal

  1. Keep it by your bed: Write immediately upon waking, before moving or doing anything else
  2. Title first: Give each dream a short title—helps with recall later
  3. Write everything: Include emotions, sensations, and fragments. Don't judge or edit
  4. Use present tense: "I am walking through..." keeps the dream vivid

Tips for Better Recall

  • Set intention before sleep: "I will remember my dreams when I wake"
  • Wake naturally when possible: Alarms can interrupt REM and erase dreams
  • Stay still: Movement can wipe memories. Lie still and recall before reaching for the journal

Our dream journal makes it easy to log dreams on your phone the moment you wake.
