Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Dream Buddy ("Service"), operated by Dream Buddy ("we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Dream Buddy. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you represent that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

2. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate information when registering and to keep it up to date. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

3. Subscriptions and Billing

Dream Buddy offers free and paid subscription plans. Paid plans are billed on a monthly or annual basis, depending on the plan you select. All payments are processed securely through Lemon Squeezy.

Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date. You can cancel at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you will retain access to paid features until then.

We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us at contact@dreambuddy.io within 14 days of the charge.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Violate any applicable law or regulation
  • Upload content that is harmful, abusive, or illegal
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to extract the source code of the Service
  • Use automated tools to scrape or extract data from the Service
  • Resell or commercially exploit the Service without our written consent

5. Your Content

You retain ownership of the dream journal entries and other content you submit to the Service ("Your Content"). By submitting content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store and process it for the sole purpose of providing the Service to you — including passing relevant content to our AI analysis providers.

You are responsible for ensuring that Your Content does not infringe any third-party rights.

6. AI-Generated Content

Dream Buddy uses AI to analyse your dream entries and provide insights, dream sign detection, and suggestions. AI-generated content is provided for informational and entertainment purposes only. It is not medical, psychological, or therapeutic advice. Do not rely on it as a substitute for professional guidance.

7. Intellectual Property

All software, design, text, and other materials that make up the Service (excluding Your Content) are owned by or licenced to us and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the Service without our prior written permission.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. We make no guarantees regarding the accuracy or usefulness of AI-generated analysis.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Dream Buddy shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct that we determine, in our sole discretion, is harmful to the Service or other users. You may delete your account at any time through your account settings. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a notice within the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation where possible.
